If you were not one of the thousands looking up at New York City’s Twin Towers on the morning of
August 7, 1974—now is your chance!
Philippe Petit’s “LOOK UP!” will be a high wire apparition to celebrate the 40th anniversary of his
clandestine World Trade Center walk.
Same man, same high wire, same distance, same tensioning device, same balancing pole—but 40 years
later—at a more human scale, instead of being a “dot in the sky,” Philippe’s features and the details of
his aerial choreography will be witnessed by all.
With Paul Winter on the Soprano Saxophone and dramatic readings by Melissa Leo from Philippe Petit’s
TO REACH THE CLOUDS, this performance will be an act of indelible beauty to benefit the magnificent
LongHouse Reserve.
