New Pond Farm is celebrating its 30th year as an environmental education center with a small working farm. Its mission is to connect people with the land that enriches and sustains us all. The beautiful 102-acre property, in West Redding, CT,  was once the home of its founder, actress Carmen Mathews. In the early 1970s, Paul Winter lived in the cottage on the farm. of work that chronicles his wide-ranging experiences in the musical traditions and natural environments of the Earth. The Paul Winter Consort mixes elements of jazz, classical and world music, along with the sounds of animals and nature. Their unique musical style is often called “Earth Music.”
