DESCRIPTION:People’s Climate March is a massive demonstration in New York City to demand global action on climate change. The March coincides with the United Nations climate Summit\, bringing leaders from around the world to make decisions concerning the fate of our planet. Dozens of organizations are gathering hundreds of thousands of activists to converge on hopefully the largest mobilization on climate change in history. Climate change is one of the central problems of our era: frightening\, daunting\, yet offering a vast opportunity to reshape our culture and politics in accordance with the needs of all the earth’s creatures—the strong\, the vulnerable\, and future generations. This interfaith service\, bringing together civic and religious leaders in a microcosm of our diverse and disparate human community\, may be one step on the path towards that goal.
